I am a second-year student at Ohio State University. For one of my classes, I am conducting a survey and writing a paper to analyze the experiences of queer-identified college students. I seek to discover if there is a correlation between how “out” a student is about their identity and how accepting their peers are of that identity, and their cumulative GPA.

one-day-to-another:

  • Left is my one year old underworks 997 in 2x

With one year of daily use to this underworks binder there are some obvious changes.

Shrinkage:

The binder itself shrunk a lot. I would say it got washed about once a week and was always air dried. Overall it has shrunk about 3 inches on the bottom and about half an inch on the sides.

Elasticity/Fabric:

The fabric is basically falling apart. There is no elasticity none at all. If you pull on it it doesn’t really even go back.

 Binding:

There is little difference in binding. The only real difference is that because the new one is longer it binds my hips also which is a plus.

 Conclusion:
Judging by this I think for a binder that gets daily use and is washed once a week could last one to two years depending size and how long it is worn.
