So here it is my review and pics of the Les Love Boat Juuya Strapless Velcro Binder!
First Some info!
Bust size: 46 inchs the large goes up to 50 inchs
Height: 5’4
Weight: 222lb
Bra size last I checked: 40 D
Pros:
-Easy to put on
In comparison to other binder styles like the Underworks Tri Top and 997 it is much MUCH easier to put on. I had some help from my partner (who took all but the bathroom pic) the first time, but since then I’ve gotten into it super fast and easy. As a chronically ill person with pain issues getting into the pull over style binders can often be to hard, but with this one I should be able to comfortably do it on all but my most painfull days.
-Strong Freaking Velcro
They were not kidding when they said this velcro is strong.I really had to put some force into it the first time to get it un-stuck.So far it has not come undone even a little bit.
-Insanely Adjustable
-CONS
Armpit Irritation
The ridge on it hits me right in the armpit which can be pretty irritating and it will also most likely get filled with sweat there so some baby powder along that area is a must.
No idea how to wash it!
-Still Can see Chest Shape at Times in Some Shirts
The red tank top is a women’s tank top so it is cut more close. But you can still see the side outlines of my chest, not as noticeable but still there.I’ll buy a men’s tank and see if that is the same.(Probably not). It took a lot of moving around but by the time I got to the Bathroom Picture I had turned it around so the velcro part was in the front and had re-positioned my chest to smooshed-together-up instead of the typical underworks -down -and o-ut and that helped a lot.
- Creasing
The material under the chest line DOES crease fairly fast and some of overlap fabric seems to want to roll.
-Cost
At 50 some dollars after tax and shipping this one was the most expensive of my binders.I will once I get more money buy one of those waist cincher wraps they sell in Wal-Mart’s work out department to see how it compares.
Over-All
This is over all a really great binder. It does what it is supposed to do and it is easy to get on.If you have issues getting in and out of pull-over style ones this, if you have the money is a great alternative.I’m at the top end of their size scale so people smaller then me will probably not experience the same problems I did with it (chest out line, creasing) It is wear able under tank tops, just not very tightly cut ones(womens) unless you want some side chest to poke out.A mens cut tank should have you at no chest visible.
So there you have it, a strapless binder on a fat person.

This is a mod post to state that We(me) here at Fat Genderqueers in no way side with Ira Grey and that we 100% support and stand behind queerandpheasantdanger and bloodmouthprince (the survivors)
We will not be reblogging anything he has written or done ever again.
I haven’t seen much about this on the genderqueer tag so I’m going to say it.
We as the genderqueer community do not need people like him around speaking for us.
If you support him I suggest unfollowing now.

This is nooffswitch’s partner speaking:
Hi! I am a big masculine individual who shops the larger size stores all the time. At most big and tall stores they carry sizes for both big (but shorter) and tall (either big or not so much). I have a physical shop nearby that I can use for my purposes, but here are a few linkages:
http://casual-male-big-and-tall.destinationxl.com/
http://www.kingsizedirect.com/
Casual male has pants with inseams as low as 25 inches to as tall as 42 inches. Waist sizes go up to 72 or as low as 36. Tops come as large as 9 or 10x or as small as single x.
Kingsize does similar sizing but 26 is the low inseam and 74 is the high waist size.
If you need shorter inseams than that, you might need to hem, roll or cuff. You can safely roll or cuff twice on most pants, once on jeans. That can reduce by a decent 2-3 inches per roll. You should probably use safety pins and roll to the inside for dress pants and slacks because it keeps the bottom cuff straight and looking almost as though it was hemmed. Jeans that are cuffed or rolled should cuff on the outside for maximum effect.
Hemming tips for those without sewing know how: Most tailor shops and dry cleaners can hem them for you, but if you don’t feel comfortable going to a stranger, you can find iron on hem tape at Wal-Mart or a craft store for a few dollars. Make sure you measure your inseam before you try to hem. Cut the existing hem off with a straight line and then roll to the inside tightly around the tape. An iron can then be applied according to the package instructions. Within a few minutes, you should have a good permanent hem.
My experience with local Men’s shops has been fairly good. Most owners are older and just want your business. They are often more interested in making your clothing fit correctly and look good than they are worried with how you present.
Note: X, XL, and XLT with whatever number precedes it are 3 different sizes. X indicates a certain chest and shoulder measurement (based on manufacturer), but the torso length (or inseam) is usually shorter than the one used for a true XL size. XLT indicates a tall size which is cut usually 2-3 inches longer at minimum. Make sure you get a cloth dressmaker’s measuring tape and compare your measurements to the sizing chart prior to purchase. For shirts it’s always better to have a torso length that is a hair too long than one that’s too short because you can always tuck it in.
If you need any other information on shopping online for good masculine clothing, choice brands, or anything else, let me know.
So I recently purchased my very first ever binder. Up until this point I had relied on sports bra’s ranging from one that was to small and cheap, to an ultra comfy one with padded freaking straps and space age moisture wick fabric and one that did a good enough job but after several hours of wear would smell like cat pee no matter what I did.My cat did not pee on it though.Perhaps it was the material?
So after mustering courage I asked my partner if they would be ok with me getting one(we are a bit tight on cash and it wasn’t a necessity at the time, just something I wanted.REALLLY WANTED but didn’t NEED like you know food or hot water) we looked over some options and pricing and such and came to the conclusion Underworks was the best choice for our finances.Les Love boat has some AWESOME looking binders but 60 some bucks a pop plus shipping was just to much.
So I ordered,with many recommendations the 997.
Info Dump: I’m fat person.I’m about 220 lbs, 5’4 and have in bra size 40D queerjugs.
Also WARNING: Clicking on Silent Hill Links is Scary you guys so do so at your own descrition!!
So with a little help from my partner and no thanks to the cat we busted out the measuring tape and measured.I came down squarely into the LARGE size.I was really expecting to be an XL or even 2XL so I was suprised a bit.It shipped SUPER CRAZY FAST.
I then struggled for a nearly an hour to get the thing on.I got my head in it but my arms stuck which resulted in me looking like this silent hill monster. I flailed my now creepy torso around a bunch and after some doing managed to free my self.I then tried the “step into it” methos.I stepped on into the head hole and pulled up.And pulled and pulled.Only to get my arms trapped around my sides now looking like this Silent Hill Monster. I wadled around sadly, spraying police women, and wandering husbands with my acid from my chest hole errrr I mean I waddled around my bedroom, hopping around trying to get free.
Finally I looked up how to put on a binder on youtube and viol! I was supposed to turn the thing UPSIDE DOWN and step into the BIG PART so it could slide on itself.
I did that and it worked!
I was nearly 100 percent flat.My chest in the binder looks like I have pecs, or queerjugs like Capt Kirks Circa season 3 and sometime in some shirt I look like I have the pecs of Zak Beggans from Ghost Adventures!
So here is the breakdown:
Cost:5/5
Shipping Speed: 5/5
Ease of getting on: (before youtube) 1/5 (after) 3/5
Flatness rating: 4/5 (not 100 percent flatness, more pecs then boobs/queerjugs)
Material: 5/5 (I feel like it is some sort of magic kevlar or mythril, super light but hard as dragon scales)
Comfort: 4/5 (I’ve only worn it for short periods so far) Not as comfy as say nakedness, but more comfy then a bra, less comfy then my ultra lux sports bra.
So overall I’d give it a 4/5.
